Caring for the Whole Person

Rossmoyne Waters places great importance on the healthy development of the mental, physical, social and spiritual dimensions of all residents, staff and their families of all faiths and walks of life. We believe this to be a vital aspect of enabling people to live fully all the seasons of life. The Chaplaincy team is an integral part of that philosophy.

The ethos of Chaplaincy is best summed up in the words of Penelope Wilcock:

“To be present, but not intrusive; to keep people company, but on their journey, not ours; to be authentically oneself, yet to know how to efface oneself.”

The Chaplains aim to do so with warmth, compassion and humour.

Life brings joys and challenges and at times when the going gets tough, the Chaplains can help to navigate those challenging times within the comfort of our home or in hospital.

Chaplains Offer:

  • One-on-one confidential support
  • A trained, listening ear
  • End of life planning, comfort and support
  • Regular worship and Bible studies
  • Social, emotional and spiritual support

Chaplains Support Through:

  • Life transitions
  • Grief and Loss
  • Loneliness or isolation
  • Hurt and disappointment
  • Death and dying
  • Faith challenges
  • Conflict Resolution
